Principal's Updates
Dear Horace Mann Families,
Welcome to the 26-27 school year! I am thrilled to be entering my third year as principal of Horace Mann Elementary School.
My career in education began over three decades ago with my student teaching experience at Woodcrest Elementary. Since then, I’ve served in a variety of roles that have deepened my commitment to student success—including eight years as an elementary classroom teacher and 23 years as an administrator, 20 of which have been as an elementary principal. Each of these experiences has shaped my approach to creating learning environments where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired.
For the last two years, I have had the privilege of getting to know the students, families, and staff who make Horace Mann such a special place to learn and grow. I continue to be impressed by the community’s strong sense of connection, its child-centered focus, and its unwavering support for one another. I look forward to building on that foundation as we deepen our partnerships and work together to help all students thrive.
As we gear up for another exciting year, I am especially looking forward to celebrating the many special moments—both big and small—that define the spirit of our school. Throughout the year, I look forward to highlighting the memorable experiences, achievements, and everyday moments that make Horace Mann such a special place to learn, grow, and belong.
Thank you for the continued warm welcome and support — it remains a true honor to serve the Horace Mann community!
Yours in education,
